Alan is a unique artist, having achieved international renown as an actor, and then adding screenwriter, director, producer, and published author to his estimable credits. Alan became a star while playing the Emcee in the Broadway run of Cabaret, and has consistently returned to the theater in London and New York between films. His better know films include: Titus, Son of the Mask, the Spy Kids series, and X2: X-Men United. He moved behind the camera with The Anniversary Party, which he co-wrote, co-directed, and starred in with Jennifer Jason Leigh.
Alan flew from the set of The L-Word in Vancouver to Florida for his role as the “Hitchhiker.” His dedication to this project, and his craft, comes through in this intense, off-the-wall character.
